There’s A Green Day ‘American Idiot’ Movie Coming Starring Billie Joe Armstrong

This rumour has been flying around for quite some time now, but if we have to believe a recent interview Billie Joe Armstrong did with NME, it’s taking pretty serious form now!
The script is being perfectioned, HBO gave the go-ahead and will be creating this movie.

The frontman will also play the role of St. Jimmie in this movie.

Here’s what Billie Joe Armstrong said about the movie to NME in the recent interview:

“That’s the plan right now, yeah, we’ve got a green light from HBO, and the script is currently going through a couple of rewrites here and there, so I’m not sure when exactly we’re going to start shooting, but it’s definitely all systems go at the moment.”
