The Billboard Top 100 Artist Chart Is More Alternative Than You Might Think
Rock, metal and alternative music are growing in popularity rapidly.
It feels like people are finally paying attention to the music in an objective way rather than say ‘This is terrible and satanic’ the second they hear an alternative band doing their thing.
This rapid popularity growth can be viewed perfectly well in Billboard’s top 100 artists at the moment.
We all know that Twenty One Pilots are on there, and have been for the last 78 weeks (yes, that’s way over a year) but did you know that there are numerous other relevant artists on there?
Green Day for instance is on the SECOND place this week after the release of their new album ‘Revolution Radio’.
Furthermore, a lot of pop-rock and alternative acts are on the list, aswell as punkrock legends Sum 41 with their latest release ’13 Voices’.
We took a look at the list and here are all the artists we deemed alternative enough to be mentioned.
