Spotify Makes Another Change For Artists

spotify-makes-another-change-for-artists

It seems that Spotify isn’t done reworking their policies. After a big overhaul a few weeks ago that would make it possible that only Premium users have access to artists’ full discographies, they’re now also changing things on the side of the artists.

Their old feature, Fan Insights, will be changed to Spotify for Artists. While performers will still be able to see the demographics of their listeners and how they are discovered, they will now have more control to do something about that. This means they’ll be able to change the look of their page up to a certain degree. They’ll also have the opportunity to promote their music in new ways through Spotify for Artists.

All in all, it sounds like a great change to Spotify that will benefit artists, whether they’ve already made it big or are still trying to get a foothold. Together with the previous changes, it looks like Spotify is really trying to make their streaming services as optimal as possible for both the users and the artists, which can only be encouraged.
