Metallica Announce Winner ‘Hit The Stage’ Contest

Metallica launched a contest a few weeks back to determine which local band will be opening up for the band for some of their massive shows this summer.
Other bands on this tour are Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat and Gojira, yet Metallica wanted a local support for a few of the shows.

The winner has been chosen, and won the vote with 22,62% votes. The rock band Local H will be opening for Metallica.

Local H will be performing with Metallica on the following dates:

05/19 – Foxborough, Ma. @ Gillette Stadium
06/04 – St. Louis, Mo. @ Busch Stadium 
06/14 – San Antonio, Texas @ Alamodome
06/16 – Dallas, Texas @ AT&T Stadium
06/18 – Chicago, Ill. @ Soldier Field
