Green Day Win Global Icon Award, Make Political Statement

Yesterday, MTV’s EMA were held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Eventhough most of the nominees, performers etc were pop-culture, Green Day also made an appearance.
​Twenty One Pilots were also nominated for two awards, and they took both of them home!

Green Day won the award for Global Icon after which they gave a speech.
In this speech, they stated to be happy to be in Europe at the moment, due to the elections that are currently happening in the US.
