Green Day Proclaimed ‘God’s Favorite Band’

Green Day visited Stephen Colbert on ‘The Late Show’ to perform one of their new songs, ‘Still Breathing’. This in itself isn’t extraordinarily impressive, but what makes the performance stand out even more, is the way it was introduced.

Host Stephen Colbert didn’t announce the band himself, because he was interrupted by an animated version of God. ‘The Lord’ asked the audience to welcome ‘five time Grammy winners and God’s favorite band’ to play a song off their latest album, Revolution Radio.
