Five Finger Death Punch Play First Show Without Ivan Moody, Open Up About Legal Battle Delaying Upcoming Album

Five Finger Death Punch have played their first full show without vocalist Ivan Moody at Nova Rock Festival in Austria last night (June 14th).

The band had announced earlier this week that Moody had to step off vocal duties due to his struggle with substance abuse and Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext would take over for the rest of the tour.

Now first footage has emerged of the band, fronted by Vext, playing the songs “Coming Down” and “The Bleeding” at Nova Rock:

In other Five Finger Death Punch related news, the band has stated in a recent interview with Kerrang! that their legal battle with their label Prospect Park is stil going on which is the reason why the release of their new album is not in the hands of the band anymore.

Drummer Jeremy Spencer explains: “We have a new record. It’s been done for several months. And we’re tied up in a lawsuit with our label. So we can’t release it because we’re being sued for some reason which I don’t even really understand why. He’s [Jeff Kwatinetz, label owner] trying to jam us up so we can’t leave the label. But he’s going to lose and once we get that sorted out the record will come out.”

Despite said legal battle, Five Finger Death Punch will continue to write and record new music.
