Dave Grohl Reaches Out To Fan Who Lost His Wife To Cancer With Heartfelt Message

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has reached out to a man called Jon after he reached out to Foo Fighters to ask them a unique favour. Jon’s wife, Laura Plane recently lost her battle with cancer after 8 years. The couple was supposed to go watch Foo Fighters at Glastonbury this year, to celebrate their 10 year marriage. Jon messaged the following to the band:

“Hey @foofighters, please can you dedicate #everlong to the awesome @lwp888 at @glastofest 2017?” he wrote. “We were due to watch you for our 10th wedding anniversary this year, but we couldn’t get tickets as she felt too ill to be able to. If you could please do me this one favour it would mean the world to me. She really was the best, the best, the best of me.”

Dave Grohl reached out to Jon with a photo of himself and a handwritten message:
“Jon – Dave here. Heard about Laura. Sending you much love and hope and light. Will be thinking of yous at Glasto. Take care mate.”
