Billie Joe Armstrong & Two Sons Join Forces For A Charity Show

It was truly a family affair on December 19th when Billie Joe Armstrong made a surprise appearance at a charity event held at 1-2-3-4 GO! Records. The show was a benefit to honour the victims of the fire at Oakland’s Ghost Ship that occured earlier this month.

SWMRS (with Joey Armstrong on drums) hosted the charity event and hinted at very very special guests, along with Jakob Danger (Armstrong’s youngest son) and Ricky Lake. The special guests turned out to be Billie Joe and Mike Dirnt, pleasantly surprising the attendees of the event.

The two Green Day members joined SWMRS and Jakob Danger on stage. Billie Joe’s ‘Pinhead Gunpowder’ bassist, Bill Schneider, also joined in on the show. The event was said to have raised $3,000.

Billie Joe shared a sweet post on Instagram about his ’emotional night’ of playing with his ‘babies’.
