‘The Meg 2’ Has Officially Started Shooting

Jason Statham will officially reprise his role as Jonas Taylor in the sequel to *The Meg**.

According to Variety, the sequel has just started filming under the title Meg 2: The Trench.

Ben Wheatley will be taking over as director from Jon Turteltaub, who directed the first instalment.

Bingbing Li will also return in Meg 2: The Trench as oceanographer Suyin.
